Christchurch City has it’s fair share of parking options, all thanks to the 2011 Earthquake that levelled the city. You’ll find a Wilsons, Christchurch council or various other smart car park on every block.

There are however a few free park locations within a 5 minute walk of Urbanz’s Manchester St location. These are shown in green on the attached map. 

Wilson Parking offers over 30 car parks within the central city with a handy app to manage your payment and Christchurch City Council has 5 multi-level parking buildings within the city.

For guests of Urbanz hostel: We offer a paid parking option. This is right next to our hostel, discounted for Urbanz guests. Priced at $17*  for 24 hours. This car park option is not available to book in advance, and has limited availability. Our team can provide you with a ticket from Reception during Check-in. 

There are three 10-minute drop-off parking bays located directly
outside of the hostel, on Manchester St.
